How can physical therapy help me?

Physical Therapy can help you regain functional skills, relieve or reduce pain, gain muscle flexibility and strength, improve balance and mobility, facilitate return to activities you value, and provide education for prevention and management of physical impairments or limitations.  Some examples of conditions we treat include, but are not limited to:

• Auto accident injury
• Shoulder and arm pain syndromes
• Athletic injury (simple and complex)
• Back, neck, head and jaw pain, including migraine headaches
• Strain of a joint
• Chronic pain
• Fibromyalgia
• Post-surgical conditions that require strengthening and/or range of motion
• Balance difficulty / Falls
• Muscle spasms / Soft tissue tightness
• Work-related injury

First appointment: What should I bring?

You should come wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing.  Ideally, your therapist will be able to observe and feel the joint(s) involved without fabric hindering.  Bring your prescription from your doctor for physical therapy, and bring along any imaging reports (X-ray, MRI, CT scan) you have.

How are follow-up visits scheduled?

Coordinated with your schedule.  Appointments can be scheduled with the various therapists based on your individual needs or preferences.
